How does the program work?

Every quarter the community manager (currently Gwen) will pick community heroes - those who share the most knowledge and contribute the most to the developer community. We’ll notify the new Heroes via Slack DM and announce them on #general.

What is considered a contribution to the community?

This is a developer community - we are looking for content and conversations relevant to developers building SaaS applications. Community heroes should show engineering and production expertise.

• Sharing knowledge and participating in conversations in the community Slack and on social media
• Blog posts, videos, podcasts, and live streams about building SaaS applications
• Open-source projects that are useful when building SaaS
• Get creative! New ways to share knowledge and enable others in the community are excellent.

Topics such as databases, security, APIs, cloud architectures, networks, K8s, availability, and scale are always popular.

Can I nominate Heros?

Sure! You can DM the community managers (currently Gwen) and suggest heroes.
